Pet Service Policies
A consult with an EC pets Co-founders and your dog’s walker is required prior to starting services.
The consult is an opportunity for us to meet your pet and develop his, or her routine, or both! Meet and Greets are scheduled during normal business hours all week, we can schedule an early morning and evening meet and greet as long as availability is allowed on both parts. After our visit if you are happy to start services you will be handed a one of a kind bar code that will be the notification system for your walker, they will be able to scan in before the walk and scan out once completing service time, a profile will be created for the owner and an easy online system will allow you the owner to schedule, and map your dog’s walks every single day, while receiving real time email notifications each time your dog is getting ready for their walk and finishing up at home for their refreshed water bowl and treat!
Please have two copies of your house key and a copy of your dog’s vaccination records for us, and please allow 30-45 minutes for the consult.
To schedule a walk, Earthly Critters Inc tries to make it as easy as possible, once you and your pet are a part of our family we will introduce you to Pet Check Technology, this system will allow you to schedule any walks, pet sits, overnight care and grooming needed for that week, or if you have a set and stone job you’ll be able to create a re-acquiring walk that can be set up weekly, bi-weekly, or one time.
Please, remember that no matter how much we love your dog, all pet services are our priorities and all services needed should be put in by Sunday. If for any reason an unexpected walk, or pet sit is needed it must be submitted by 9:00pm the prior night, email/text notification to EC co-founders, or submit a request through our online management system, by 5:00 PM the day before the desired visit.
If you need a same day last-minute walk a $5 last-minute addition charge will be added to the normal charge for the visit. "Pending" visits are not considered scheduled until the request is "Approved".
Cancellation requests can be made via phone, email, or through our online management All cancellations made before 8am on the day of requested walk will not be charged. For cancellations not made before 8am of day requested, or in advance, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the walk. Last-minute cancellations (2 hours before requested walk) will result in full charge of walk.
-Time of Walker Arrival-
Your walker will arrive during your two-hour time window. We cannot,
unfortunately, guarantee a specific time within that time window due to the
potential for unexpected delays that walkers may encounter throughout their day.
All payments must be set up with EC’s payment software, or Pet Check Technology for daily services before first service.
Two working copies of your house keys must be provided at the time of the Meet & Greet. If you do not have two copies available for us at that time, we are happy to arrange to pick them up at another time, or leave at home for sitter to pick up. (Please Inform EC management if this is taking place)
-Walker Sick Days and Vacation Days-
Occasionally, our walkers get sick or request time off. We will always let you know that your walker has requested time off and arrange for another EC employee to walk your dog. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee you will have the same substitute each time, however, we make sure that each substitute is prepared. All of our employees are bonded and insured through the company and will always have a copy of your dog’s online profile so that he or she can keep the routine consistent and give your dog a great visit. The regular cancellation and scheduling policies still apply.
-Earthly Critters Holidays-
EC is closed for business on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Day After Thanksgiving (Friday) and Christmas Day for dog walks. This does not include pet sitting, cat sitting and overnight care, we are available if approved all year round.
-Pet Behavior & Well-Being-
All dogs under our care must be up to date on their vaccinations. EC cannot care for aggressive dogs, or dogs with a history of biting. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services for a pet that we deem as being a danger to our walkers and pet sitters. We will contact you immediately if this decision is made.
-Inclement Weather/Natural Disaster-
EC will be closed if the Federal Government is closed for weather related events. If the Federal Government is open but public schools in your district are closed due to inclement weather, you can call us by 9:00 AM the day of the visit to cancel the walk without charge. Earthly Critters will make all reasonable attempts to drive safely to your home and care for your pets as soon as possible in inclement weather. However, we strongly recommend that you give a house key to a trustworthy neighbor in case roads are closed, dangerous or impassable due to ice, snow, floods, etc. EC reserves the right to cancel visits if walkers are unable to safely reach your home. The service schedule may be changed, interrupted, altered or cancelled due to circumstances.
